Ulricehamn is growing as an event location, where more and bigger events are being arranged all the time. Everything from the Uport music festival with over 20 000 visitors, to Diggiloo, the Västgötaloppet ski/run/MTB races and the Taste of Ulricehamn food festival.

Ulricehamn offers the visitor a wide choice of activities. Biking, walking and fantastic training opportunities are the main attractions here, and Ulricehamn has become an important destination many choose when thinking about training and competing. Lassalyckan for example is one of Sweden’s most up to date sports centres.

Ulricehamn Ski Center – One of the best and most popular places for winter sports in southern Sweden. You’ll find a complete winter sports centre with seven slopes and great skiing for the whole family.

Lassalyckan in Ulricehamn is Sweden’s first official Vasaloppet Centre. Quality assured training options are available there all year round for both elite skiers and sports enthusiasts.  The FIS Cross Country World Cup was held here in 2017 and attracted 60 000 visitors.

Schools and family life

In the county of Ulricehamn there are 16 local authority nursery schools, 11 schools with classes for children up to the age of 12, two schools for 13-15 year olds and a sixth form college. It’s not far to commute to higher education institutes in Borås, Jönköping, Skövde and Gothenburg.

There are also several sports halls, football stadiums, swimming pools and ice rinks, 14 public swimming areas, riding schools and tennis courts. There are 63 play areas in the county.
