Textile Fashion Center
We’re proud here at Business Region Borås to be based in the regenerated area of Simonsland and become a part of the historical narrative that has characterised Borås and the whole region. There’s less manufacturing now in the area but the hustle and bustle is, if anything, greater.
Clusters and enterprises
There are a range of independent enterprises In the Textile Fashion Center that are united in one textile cluster, which is a joint collaboration between businesses, research and educational institutes and organisations that work with innovation and business development. Three main partners form the core of the enterprise, and their interaction has been based on the ‘Triple Helix’ model.
The partners are the City of Borås, the University of Borås and the wider business community in Sjuhärad. The fundamental idea is that creative processes work best in an interplay between local authorities and the community, businesses and universities – a successful concept that is recognised the world over.
“There’s potential here for new shops, businesses, products and research results.”
This is a place which stands out compared to other clusters because of its unique surroundings and unique concept. Creative thinking is combined with knowledge and research at the highest level so that entrepreneurship can grow with confidence and authenticity.
